The Eastern Caribbean preparatory meeting conference is being held in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in preparation for Barbados hosting the 16th Ministerial Development Forum for Latin America and the Caribbean in October.
Objective of the Meeting
“The objective of today’s meeting is to provide leaders of social development, environment and finance and senior technocrats with an opportunity and open space to exchange ideas and strategies and engage in candid discussions before the 16th Ministerial Development Forum for Latin America and the Caribbean,” said Dr. Cassandra Williams, Minister of State in the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Social Services.

The event today will have four thematic sessions covering digitalization, climate vulnerability and social safety nets, resilience adaptability, and social protection policies and financing.
