ANGEL REESE has sent a clear message to trolls and haters after briefly deactivating her Instagram account.
The WNBA star turned heads and sent jaws to the floor after sharing a picture of her stunning New Year’s Eve dress. But just a couple of days later, Reese appeared to deactivate her Instagram account – which has more than five million followers. The Chicago Sky forward, 22, has now opened it back up and shared the cover of her on the front page of Vogue with a clear message to the haters.
On Instagram it read: "Covergirl. It’s always been both: basketball and fashion." Fans flooded the comments with praise, writing: "This is why she’s a role model. Basketball, fashion, and staying authentic. Angel is unstoppable!"
On X, she later added: "I ‘covered up’ and gave y’all COVERGIRL." A fan responded: "This line is historic. Literally. If it was a lyric in a rap song, people would lose it!"
On TikTok there was a video of her dancing along with statements like ‘needs to cover up’ and ‘she’s cheapening her brand’ flashing on screen. Reese will be on the cover of the Winter 2025 issue which has the title ‘When Sports Met Fashion’.
The basketball star is seen wearing a burgundy Versace dress. She told the magazine: "It’s always been both: basketball and fashion. I was always in my mom’s closet, putting on her stuff. I liked to carry a purse. Hair done. I wanted to look put together. I still do. I used to watch ‘America’s Next Top Model’ with Tyra [Banks] and practice my walk in the living room."
Fans loved her comeback to social media with the comments full of praise for the budding superstar.
