Bella Ramsey, Ariana DeBose share hug at Emmys 2024 after controversial Critics Choice Awards joke

No hard feelings here!

Bella Ramsey and Ariana DeBose shared a sweet moment at the Emmys 2024 show on Monday night.

The pair hugged it out after Ramsey, 19, made a joke while presenting at the Critics Choice Awards ceremony about the “West Side Story” star’s singing.

On Sunday night’s event, the “Last of Us” star appeared onstage with Anthony Ramos while presenting the award for Best Song.

While reading off the teleprompter, Ramsey called DeBose, Jack Black and Ryan Gosling “actors who also think they are singers.”

DeBose, 32, was in the Critics Choice audience yesterday and did not seem amused by the joke.

The “Prom” star looked visually shocked and dismayed at the quip before giving a small nervous chuckle.

She later took to her Instagram stories and wrote: “No I didn’t find it funny. Lol.”

DeBose’s song “This Wish” from the Disney movie “Wish” was nominated at the show. However, Gosling’s tune “I’m Just Ken” from “Barbie” won the award.

At the Emmys, Ramsey and DeBose seemed to have buried the hatchet and the two shared a cute embrace in the audience.

People went “awww” at the moment, taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their love over the pair.

“Bella Ramsey did the thing,” someone wrote. “Beautiful people!”

Another chimed in: “Adorable!” A fourth added: “So sweet!”

Hannah Waddingham also seemed to console DeBose at the Emmys tonight on the red carpet.

The “Ted Lasso” star, 49, appeared to give the Tony Award-nominated crooner a pep talk as they held hands.

Fans defended DeBose’s honor and talent on X.

“Ariana DeBose, Oscar award winning, Tony nominated, OG cast member of Hamilton on BROADWAY … ‘THINKS she’s a singer’?!? Who wrote this bit?! I want names #CriticsChoiceAwards,” one fan wrote.

“Imagine the audacity of saying THE oscar winner, broadway trained ariana debose isn’t a SINGER. END THEM MOTHER,” another added.

A user scoffed: “The disrespect to Academy Award winner, Tony nominee, Broadway star, Ariana DeBose is WILD. The look on her face really said it all.”
