We say: What a vile lie. Under Trump, COVID vaccines became available in record time. By his last month as prez, January 2021, enough were ready for some groups to take them.

Without the vax, 440,000 Americans (not “over a million”) died of COVID under Trump. Yet even with it, nearly 800,000 more succumbed under Biden.

Don’t blame Joe for all those deaths, but don’t blame Trump for those on his watch, either.

We say: Can the Times cover anything without seeing racism?

In this 1,405-word navel-gazer, reporters Clyde McGrady & Katie Glueck mull whether Fulton County DA Fani Willis’ critics are slamming her decision to hire her lover, Nathan Wade, for her case against Trump simply because she’s a “high-profile” black woman.

Please. There are legitimate conflict-of-interest questions here.

And Trump’s the likely GOP presidential nominee; criticism would be fierce whatever the prosecutor’s race or gender.

We say: Sorry, Congressman. What Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “launched” was a rescue mission that secured the release of two Israeli hostages held by Hamas terrorists — a mission he had every legal and moral right to launch.

Any deaths of “innocent civilians” are on Hamas’ hands. Bowman would be better off focusing on fire alarms and keeping his antisemitism to himself. 

This claim:

“[Biden is] one of the most successful presidents in modern American history.” — Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Tuesday

We say: In a way, AOC’s right. Biden wanted to let millions of migrants sneak into the country illegally, despite the chaos it would cause, and he did.

He wanted to waste trillions of taxpayers dollars and steer much of it to friends and allies, despite fueling inflation, and he did.

He wanted to bug out of Afghanistan, even though it empowered the Taliban, cost the lives of 13 US servicemen and stranded US allies, and he did.

Alas, what he and AOC consider “success” is a nightmare for the nation.
