St Kitts and Nevis to Send Two Swimmers to 38th CARIFTA Aquatic Championships
St Kitts and Nevis will be represented by a two-member team at the 38th CARIFTA Aquatic Championships, which will take place at the National Aquatics Centre, Balmain Couva in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago from April 19 to 22, 2025.
The selected swimmers are 1x Olympian Troy Nisbett and Skyla Connor, who last year became the first swimmers from St Kitts and Nevis to participate in the CARIFTA Aquatic Championships.
The two-member team will be coached by National swim coach, James Weekes, who expressed his thrill at having Troy and Skyla represent the federation in swimming, a sport that is rapidly gaining popularity both locally and regionally. "We are putting forth our utmost effort with the resources available to prepare them for this highly competitive discipline within their respective age groups. We wish them the best of luck as they compete against the top athletes in the Caribbean region," he said.
The four-day CARIFTA Aquatic Championships is an international age-group competition that brings together athletes from across the Caribbean to compete in various aquatic disciplines.
