Emma McLeod and Kate Irwin scored half-centuries as New Zealand Under-19 Women eased to a comfortable 79-run win over the West Indies Under-19 Women in their warmup match at the UKM-YSD Cricket Oval here on Wednesday.

New Zealand Posts 151/2 in 20 Overs

After winning the toss and electing to bat, New Zealand finished on 151 for two in their 20 overs, thanks to McLeod’s 50 from 42 balls and Irwin’s 46 from 41 balls.

Unbeaten Duet Retire Out

Neither McLeod nor Irwin was dismissed, as they both retired out: McLeod when the score was 89 and Irwin with the score of 115.

Todd and Wolland Finish off Innings

Eve Wolland and Anika Todd batted through the remainder of the innings, finishing with respective scores of 22 not out and 20 not out, with slight alarm.

West Indies Struggles in Chase
