Reasons for Groundbreaking Ceremony

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit explained the decision to break ground during construction, stating he did not want anybody to think that the government was kidding since it had been promised but had never happened until today. Skerrit added that Hurricane Maria had taken away a significant portion of the funds saved for the airport in 2016 towards rebuilding efforts.
