New Season, New Achievements

Thanks to the partnership with Entrepreneurship Across Borders, Techstars ATL & NOLA, and Kingston BETA, we are thrilled to share that six startups and seven entrepreneurs from the Kingston BETA Community have been selected to join the prestigious Techstars Accelerator, securing a total of JMD$111,000,000 in investor dollars and convertible notes in the last 12 months.

Three Jamaican Startups Join Techstars Atlanta Accelerator

Melissa Powell (POCMI), Monique Powell (QuickCart), and Raquel Seville (Dataffluent) have been selected for the highly competitive Techstars Atlanta Accelerator Program.

What to Expect

Each startup will receive US$120,000 in investments and convertible notes, as well as access to Techstars’ renowned global network of mentors, investors, and resources to support their growth and scalability.

The Next Kingston BETA

This season, the next Kingston BETA event will be wrapped around the selected startups, providing a unique opportunity to learn about their businesses, accelerator processes, challenges, and what’s next. Join us on Thursday, October 3rd, at the AC Hotel Kingston, 6:30 pm- 9 pm.

New Ticket Prices

We’ve increased the General Ticket Price to JMD$2,000 | US$12. The second increase in 17 years. So, we know you’ll be fine with that. We’ll be adding a VIP Experience shortly too, so watch for that. Tickets go on sale on Thursday, September 19th, 2024, and the link will be public on all socials.

The Startup Stage

We invite early-stage entrepreneurs using tech to solve problems to apply for the Startup Stage. We will select the top 3 to pitch at Kgn BETA and they will get 5 minutes max to pitch. The winner gets:

– $300,000 cash grant from DBJ
– Access to Kingston BETA’s Investor and Business Networks
– New Digital Rockstar Merch
– 2 Tickets to Kingston BETA Academy Workshops Series around Pitching, Investors Engagement, Money Management, Business Modeling
