Drake tore into the 2024 Grammys just two hours before the biggest night in music kicked off at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The 37-year-old rapper, who has a history of criticizing the award show, slammed the ceremony on Instagram, saying it “doesn’t dictate s – – t in our world.”

In an Instagram story, he posted a video of himself accepting the Grammy for Best Melodic Rap Performance last year, with the caption, “All you incredible artists remember this show isn’t the facts it’s just the opinion of a group of people who’s name [sic] are kept a secret. (literally you can google it).”

Drake added: “Congrats to anybody winning anything for hip hop but this show doesn’t dictate s – – t in our world.”

On Sunday night, while music’s A-list like Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Dua Lipa were partying in Los Angeles, Drake was on tour on the East Coast with J. Cole in Tampa, Florida.

Drake’s “Her Loss,” a collaboration with 21 Savage, was nominated for four Grammys this year, including Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance, Best Melodic Rap Performance and Best Rap Song. It lost in every category.

The rapper famously skipped the 2017 event when his song “Hotline Bling” was categorized as rap instead of pop.

For the same reason, in 2022 he withdrew his nods for the album “Certified Lover Boy” and the song “Way 2 Sexy.”

Explaining his decision in 2017, he told Apple Beats 1, “I’m a black artist, I’m apparently a rapper, even though ‘Hotline Bling’ is not a rap song.

“The only category that they can manage to fit me in is in a rap category, maybe because I’ve rapped in the past or because I’m black.”
