How Jenna Ortega, 21, felt about Martin Freeman, 52, sex scene in ‘Miller’s Girl’

No awkwardness here.

Jenna Ortega had no issues filming a sex scene with Martin Freeman in the new R-rated drama “Miller’s Girl” — despite it being branded as “so gross” by viewers due to their 30-year age difference.

The film’s intimacy coordinator is speaking out amid the backlash, claiming that the “Wednesday” actress was “comfortable” on set.

“There was many, many people throughout this process, engaging with [Jenna] to make sure that it was consistent with what she was comfortable with, and she was very determined and very sure of what she wanted to do,” Kristina Arjona told the Daily Mail in a new interview.

She noted that her job entails adapting to the “comfort level of my actors, especially on a production like this where there is a large age gap between the actors.”

“Miller’s Girl” chronicles the inappropriate relationship of a teacher Jonathan Miller (Martin, 52,) and his student, Cairo Sweet (played by Ortega, 21).

Arjona explained that she always checked in on the actors and made sure their “boundaries [weren’t] being surpassed.”

Additionally, they were given “continuous consent.”

The “Scream 6” star and the “Sherlock” actor had “simulated sex scenes,” in which they used modesty garments as “additional barriers” to ensure that there was an “appropriate distance” between the two.

Arjona added that the stars were able to “change their minds” about doing a certain “element” in an intimacy scene on the day of if they so wished.

“For this film, in particular, because of the sensitivity of the content, they had some different variations of how they wanted to shoot these scenes so that audiences could watch them at test screenings to see what was too much,” she explained.

The film was slammed on social media earlier this week for its raunchy content, particularly blasting Freeman’s role.

“Just saw a thread of Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) groping Jenna Ortega in new show, strange times,” someone tweeted on X, formerly Twitter.

“This Jenna Ortega/Martin Freeman film is so gross! So, so, so, so gross!” another said.

“MARTIN FREEMAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO JENNA ORTEGA,” one fan posted.

“Miller’s Girl” is directed by Jade Halley Bartlett and also stars Dagmara Domińczyk, Bashir Salahuddin, Gideon Adlon and Christine Adams.

Ortega and Freeman’s sex scene in the comedy was labeled as “gross.”

Bartlett previously praised Ortega’s performance in an interview with Screen Rant.

“I didn’t really know her work very well until I met her. I’d seen The Fallout, which I’d really resisted watching because I thought it was going to be so bleak, but it’s so wonderful. Totally, totally surprised me. And she’s hysterical in that movie. She’s so funny. Which is a weird thing to say about that movie. It’s not necessarily funny, but she’s very funny. She’s very charming. But when I met her on Zoom, she disarmed me so entirely,” she said.

“She is from the desert. I’m from Tennessee, but we both have these very similar Gothic proclivities. And she said things to me about the character that I had never vocalized aloud,” Bartlett went on. “It’s like she climbed inside of my head and said those things. So it was almost like kismet.”

“Miller’s Girl” is in theaters now.
