Exercise Planning and Design Course
The Regional Security System (RSS) Training Institute (TI) held an Exercise Planning and Design Course from 13-31 January 2025 at the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force Base Headquarters, Camp Blizzard.
Course Objectives
The course aimed to enable participants from RSS member states to become effective exercise planners, utilizing their experiences, skillsets, and knowledge to create exercises relevant to the complex security environment in the region.
Course Highlights
The course was facilitated by five military experts, three from the Canadian Joints Operations (CJO) and two from the RSS. The course commenced with an informal opening ceremony and concluded with a formal closing ceremony.
Course Outcomes
Police and Defence Forces of the member states representatives who successfully completed the course are now able to plan and participate in realistic exercises that benefit them and the region. Inspector Carl Greaux represented the RSS, while (Ag.) Superintendent Reynold Myers and Sgt. Jase Henderson represented the St. Kitts-Nevis Police and Defence Forces, respectively.
