Jeremy Allen White learned to ‘shut the f—k up’ after viral Alexa Demie comment

Jeremy Allen White is learning the consequences of fame.

The “Bear” star admitted he was shocked by the response he received from fans after he gushed over actress Alexa Demie’s lingerie shoot on Instagram back in August.

White — who simply commented “wow” on the “Euphoria” star’s Calvin Klein ad — said he quickly called his publicist amid the buzz over the remark.

“I was like, ‘I just need to shut the f—k up. I just shouldn’t say anything,” he recalled during an interview with British GQ published Tuesday.

“And she was like, ‘Kind of.’” 

The Emmy nominee further clarified that his intentions were harmless, explaining he was merely complimenting the work of photographers Inez and Vinoodh.

At the time, several fans roasted the “Shameless” actor, 32, for seemingly trying to make a move on Demie, also 32.

“Sir get a burner account PLEASE,” one person wrote.

“Get in line,” another added.

During the interview, newly single White also reflected on the past year amid his divorce from Addison Timlin after three years of marriage.

“It’s been insane,” he told the outlet. “A lot of high highs, a lot of terribly low lows.”

While the details of the split aren’t clear, the actor recently agreed to alcohol testing as part of his custody agreement with the “Fallen” actress, 32.

Since the breakup, White admitted he has struggled with the paparazzi following him around and even taking photos at his child’s soccer game.

The exes share two daughters: Ezer Billie, 5, and Dolores Wild, 2.

“‘Please don’t take pictures of our children. That’s not OK,’” he recalled telling photographers at the time.

At one point, White attempted to deter the media from publishing stories about him by repeating the same casual outfit.

“Ratty black shirt, Adidas slides, my [Mets] cap I wear every day,” he told British GQ, adding that his plan “kind of” worked.

Despite his low-key wardrobe choices, White still made headlines when he was seen packing on the PDA with model Ashley Moore in August.
