Katy Perry dances to Taylor Swift diss track ‘Bad Blood’: photo

There’s no more bad blood between them.

On Friday, Katy Perry was seen in the crowd during Taylor Swift’s Eras performance in Sydney, Australia, dancing to Swift’s song, “Bad Blood.”

This was especially noteworthy because the general consensus is that “Bad Blood” is a diss track that Swift, 34, wrote about Perry, 39.

“Bad Blood” was released in 2014, at the height of the pop stars’ alleged feud.

Swift has never officially confirmed that the track was about Perry, but she heavily implied it.

In a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone, Swift didn’t name Perry, but said the song was about a fellow female pop star.

“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” Swift said. “She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’”

Swift then noted that the unnamed industry peer did something “so horrible” that made them “straight-up enemies.” Specifically, she said, “She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”

Just one day after that story was published, on Sept. 9, 2014, Perry posted a tweet saying, “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing…”

Many of the dancers from Swift’s Red Tour went to perform with Perry on her Prism tour.

In the lyrics to “Bad Blood,” Swift sings, “Cause baby, now we got bad blood…Now we got problems/ And I don’t think we can solve ’em.”

In 2015, Nicki Minaj was upset that her video for “Anaconda” was snubbed by MTV Video Music Awards’ Video of the Year category.

“If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year,” she wrote on Twitter.

Swift’s “Bad Blood” video won that prize, and Swift took to Twitter, assuming Minaj was firing shots at her.

“I’ve done nothing but love & support you,” she wrote in response to Minaj’s tweet. “It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot.”

Also without directly naming Swift, Perry posted her own tweet in response to the exchange.

“Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman…” Perry said, seemingly referring to the lyrics of “Bad Blood.”

In 2017, Perry went on “The Late Late Show With James Corden” and talked about the rumor that she tried to sabotage Swift’s tour.

“Okay, so there was like three backing dancers that went on tour with her tour, right? And they asked me before they went on tour if they could go, and I was like, ‘Yeah, of course. I’m not on a record cycle and get the work, and she’s great and all that. But I will be on a record cycle probably in about a year. So, be sure to put a 30-day contingency in your contract, so you can get out if you want to join me when I say I’m going back on,’” Perry said.

“So that year came up, right? And I texted all of them because I’m very close with them and I said, ‘Look, just FYI, I’m about to start. I want to put the word out there.’ They said, ‘Okay, well we’re gonna go and talk to management about it.’ And they did, and they got fired.”

But, Swift and Perry have buried the hatchet, since Perry appeared in Swift’s video for “You Need To Calm Down” in 2019.

And now, Perry, who recently announced her departure from “American Idol,” was seen dancing to Swift’s rumored diss track about her. The women also reunited backstage and took a selfie together. “got to see an old friend shine tonight,” Perry captioned the Instagram photo.

Swift’s boyfriend, NFL player and Super Bowl winner Travis Kelce, 34, was also in attendance at Swift’s concert Down Under, as were Taika Waititi and Rita Ora.

It’s ironic that Perry was dancing near Kelce, since a resurfaced interview with Kelce from 2016 shows Kelce playing a game of “Kiss, Marry, Kill.”

In an interview with Afterbuzz TV to promote his then-reality series, “Catching Kelce,” the NFL player was asked to choose between Swift, Ariana Grande and Perry.

“Damn, that’s messed up. I don’t want to kill any of them,” Kelce said.

“Sorry, love you, but you’re gone,” he said about Grande.

“Taylor Swift would be the kiss,” he continued. “And what’s the last one? Katy Perry? Yeah, Katy Perry would be the marry.”

Let’s hope Swift doesn’t see that old clip…then the “Bad Blood” might be reignited.
