Nick Carter says he’s “completely heartbroken” over the death of his sister Bobbie Jean Carter, who died in Florida on Dec. 23. She was 41.

Her passing followed the death of sibling Aaron Carter, who was 34, in November 2022.

“It may take a lifetime to fully process the loss my family had endured over the years — most recently, with the sudden passing of our sister Bobbie Jean,” the Backstreet Boys musician, 43, wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post Thursday in which he shared a photo of him and Bobbie Jean as small children.

“I am completely heartbroken,” he wrote.

The singer also thanked his fans for their continued support.

“Thank you for all your love and kind words,” he penned. “We are reminded again that life is precious, fleeting and to cherish the time we have with the ones we love.

“I know she is finally at peace with God. I love you BJ.”

Their sister Leslie Carter died in January 2012 at the age of 25 after overdosing.

Bobbie Jean’s cause of death has yet to be determined. People magazine reported that the Carter family believes she went into cardiac arrest.

Her passing was first reported by TMZ.

“I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter Bobbie Jean, and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time,” her mother, Jane Carter, told the outlet at the time. “When I am able to think clearly, I’ll release a fuller statement, but until then, I would request to be left to grieve in private.”

Bobbie Jean’s 8-year-old-daughter, Bella, is being cared for by an aunt on her father’s side, according to People.

Bobbie Jean worked alongside Nick and Aaron during their musical careers and also appeared in the family’s E! reality show, “House of Carters,” which aired in 2006.

Last June, she was arrested in Florida in a Hobby Lobby store after allegedly swiping $55 worth of stickers and markers and for being in possession of fentanyl. She was charged with one count of retail theft.

Nick and Angel Carter — Aaron’s twin — are now the family’s only surviving siblings.
