Disgraced royal Prince Andrew gets the spotlight in an upcoming new Netflix movie.

Called “Scoop,” the movie is about Prince Andrew’s notorious November 2019 BBC interview about his links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died in August that same year of an apparent suicide.

“The X-Files” alum Gillian Anderson, 55, will star as BBC “Newsnight” anchor Emily Maitlis, while Rufus Sewell, 56, (“The Diplomat”) will play Prince Andrew, 63.

“To get an interview this big, you have to be bold,” Netflix wrote on X, accompanying the trailer.

In the trailer, Maitlis was shown on set, along with producer Sam McAlister (Billie Piper, “Doctor Who”).

The scene then showed the outside of Buckingham Palace, and Prince Andrew walking.

“This is the story, the only story. I want it for us,” a voice could be heard saying.

Keeley Hawes (who is also married to “Succession” star Matthew MacFadyen) will co-star in “Scoop,” as Amanda Thirsk, Prince Andrew’s private secretary at the time.

“One interview can change everything,” dramatic text onscreen proclaimed.

In the now-infamous interview, Prince Andrew spoke about the allegations that he had sex with Virginia Roberts (now Virginia Giuffre) when she was 17.

He said he had “no recollection of ever meeting” Giuffre. When Maitlis brought up a photo showing Prince Andrew with his arm around Giuffre, he claimed, “I have absolutely no memory of that photograph ever being taken.”

Soon after the sit-down, Prince Andrew released a statement announcing his decision to “step back from public duties.”

In January 2022, a day after a Manhattan judge allowed Giuffre’s sexual assault lawsuit against the disgraced royal to move forward, Queen Elizabeth stripped her son of his military and royal titles.

“With The Queen’s approval and agreement, The Duke of York’s military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned to The Queen,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement at the time.

“The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen,” the palace said of the sex assault lawsuit against him.

The lawsuit reached a settlement in February 2022 for an estimated $12 million, a source told The Post.

Further court documents unsealed in January 2024 have since alleged that Prince Andrew was accused of participating in an “underage orgy” on sex offender Epstein’s private island.

The movie is based on McAlister’s memoir, “Scoops: Behind the Scenes of the BBC’s Most Shocking Interviews.” According to Netflix, the movie will tell “the story of the women who secured the scoop of the decade.”

“I want to put the audience inside the breathtaking sequence of events that led to the interview with Prince Andrew — to tell a story about a search for answers, in a world of speculation and varying recollections,” the film’s director, Philip Martin, said in a statement to Netflix about plans for the film.

“It’s a film about power, privilege, and differing perspectives and how — whether in glittering palaces or high-tech newsrooms — we judge what’s true.”

“Scoop” will premiere on Netflix on April 5.
