Prince Harry, Meghan Markle ‘need King Charles’ blessing’ to keep upcoming projects going: expert

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are going to need King Charles’ blessing if they want to rely on a consistent flow of upcoming projects, according to a royal expert.

Royal Author Ingrid Seward believes the Duke and Duchess of Sussex need the monarch “more than he needs them” — and thinks the royal rift “will sadly continue” well into 2024.

“Harry’s been very clear that he doesn’t want to come to the UK unless he has the kind of protection he expects,” Seward told GB News.

“Most of his court cases are ongoing, but in particular with the Home Office, he’s really put his foot down on this.”

Seward, who penned the 2003 biography “William & Harry,” then touched on the possibility of the two camps burying the hatchet and starting afresh.

“Obviously King Charles wants to see his son and his grandchildren, and last summer he apparently invited them to Balmoral, which they turned down,” she explained.

“Meghan and Harry need the King and his blessing far more than the King needs them, sadly, so I feel we will be seeing them.”

“We’ll certainly be seeing Harry because he’s got to reappear for some court cases,” she added.

The Sussexes were recently warned that they must “deliver” next year as Hollywood has “probably had enough of them.”

“Something is beginning to unwind at the heart of Meghan and Harry,” PR expert Mark Borkowski told the Daily Mail earlier this month.

“I think 2024 is going to be seismic, either because they’re going to do something to recover and find a new positive tactic or it’s going to be the undoing of the brand.”

“It can only go one or two ways. It can’t stay where it is at the moment. Because it’s clearly not working,” he added.

Harry and Meghan have signed a handful of lucrative deals this year, most of which have caused the ongoing royal rift to widen.

The “Suits” alum signed with William Morris Endeavor (WME) CEO Ari Emanuel and his team in April and has recently teased several “exciting” projects she’s got in the works.

But it’s recently been reported that the agency is having second thoughts as the furor continues to unfold over Omid Scobie’s explosive tell-all biography, “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival.”

The book named the royals who allegedly made a “racist” remark about the Sussexes’ son Archie.

Harry and Meghan have opted to stay silent throughout the scandal — a decision that has been slammed by experts.
