Sarah Ferguson, The Duchess of York, has been diagnosed with an aggressive skin cancer just months after receiving a breast cancer diagnosis.

“Following her diagnosis with an early form of breast cancer this summer, Sarah, Duchess of York, has now been diagnosed with malignant melanoma,” the 64-year-old’s spokesperson told Express on Sunday.

“Her dermatologist asked that several moles were removed and analyzed at the same time as the duchess was undergoing reconstructive surgery following her mastectomy, and one of these has been identified as cancerous.”

Doctors are now working to establish whether it was caught early, her rep added, claiming that the diagnosis was “distressing” but Fergie is in “high spirits.”

“The duchess wants to thank the entire medical team which has supported her, particularly her dermatologist, whose vigilance ensured the illness was detected when it was,” the statement concluded. “She believes her experience underlines the importance of checking the size, shape, colour and texture and emergence of new moles that can be a sign of melanoma.”

The Post has reached out to the Duchess’ press office for confirmation.

Ferguson had surgery in the summer of 2023 after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

Her skin cancer news comes as King Charles and Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, are dealing with their own health scares.

Charles, 75, will undergo a “corrective procedure” for an enlarged prostate this week.

Middleton, 42, underwent a “planned abdominal surgery” on Tuesday and will be staying at The London Clinic for up to two weeks as she recovers.

Estranged royal family members Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly offered “get well soon” wishes to the ailing pair.
