Sarah Ferguson in talks for ITV ‘This Morning’ job after Holly Willoughby exit

Sarah Ferguson could be landing a new job in the near future following her breast cancer struggles.

The Duchess of York, 64, is reportedly in talks with British news channel ITV to nab a guest role on the chat show “This Morning.”

Sources told the Mirror recently that Ferguson — affectionately known as Fergie — is meeting with network execs who were impressed with her previous appearances on “This Morning” and on another program, “Loose Women,” earlier this year.

“The Duchess was a real hit with ITV bosses on ‘Loose Women,’ everyone thought she was a natural,” the insider explained.

The source claimed: “There is an open invitation for her to return to ‘Loose Women’ and there is also talk of her doing a guest slot on ‘This Morning’ or a mini-series for them.”

“The Duchess has been no stranger to telly and previously worked as a special correspondent on NBC’s ‘Today’ in the States,” they added.

Fergie was a special correspondent on the “Today” show in 2008 and she was the host of the segment “From the Heart.”

The mother of two also previously guest emceed ABC’s “The View” and CNN’s “Larry King Live.”

The Post has reached out to Fergie’s reps for comment.

English presenter Holly Willoughby was recently the host of “This Morning” before she quit on Oct. 5 after a man was arrested for allegedly plotting to abduct and murder her.

Willoughby, 42, was the emcee of the talk show for 14 years before her exit.

Amid Fergie’s career aspirations, she has recently suffered from cancer, which she announced in June.

She was diagnosed with an early stage of the disease during a routine mammogram and had a mastectomy over the summer.

Fergie then spent recovery time with her family at home at the Royal Lodge in Windsor alongside ex-husband Prince Andrew and their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

“The Duchess is receiving the best medical care and her doctors have told her that the prognosis is good,” read a statement at the time released by her rep. Her surgery was said to be “successful” due to the early detection.

In an August episode of her podcast “Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah,” she explained that undergoing a mastectomy helped her discover self-love after being compared to the late Princess Diana in the past.

The surgery was a “waking up” moment to “stop self-hatred” and to “stop not liking yourself,” she said.

“When I look back, you know, I was OK … I got good legs and look good, and I didn’t like myself, and that was because, I think, you know, I was always compared to Diana,” Fergie explained.

The former Weight Watchers spokesperson confessed: “I think at the end, I sort of believed my own press, which is, you know, not too good.”
