Two Kittitian Players Selected for West Indies U19 Women’s Team, Depart for Malaysia

Two outstanding cricketers from Saint Kitts, Jahzara Claxton of Sandy Point and Aaliyah Weekes of St. Paul’s, have been selected to represent the West Indies U19 Women’s team in the ICC Women’s U19 T-20 World Cup. The duo departed the Federation on January 1st for Malaysia, where they will participate in the prestigious tournament.
Group Stage Draw and Pre-Tournament Camp
West Indies have been drawn in Group A alongside India, Sri Lanka, and hosts Malaysia. The team will participate in a pre-tournament camp in Malaysia from January 5th to 10th, followed by two warm-up games against Nepal and New Zealand on January 13th and 15th, respectively. Their opening group stage game is scheduled for January 19th.
