Financial Literacy Workshops for Senior Secondary School Students
St. Lucia
The Ministry of Commerce, Manufacturing, Business Development, Cooperatives, and Consumer Affairs, in collaboration with the Saint Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association (SLHTA), is hosting two workshops on financial literacy and entrepreneurship for senior secondary school students from Forms 4 and 5.
Workshops Overview
The workshops, entitled "Know Your Numbers through the Micro Business Game (MBG)", are designed to help participants track and document their business finances as they play an interactive board game, simulating managing a small business. This initiative aims to enhance understanding of financial management as an essential part of effective business practices while fostering decision-making. Additionally, the workshops serve as complementary activities to the Ministry’s annual summer internship programme, the SBDC Young Entrepreneurs in Action (SBDC YEA!).
Topics Covered
