The US Virgin Islands pulled off a narrow 19-18 overtime win over Jamaica to advance in the 13th place consolation bracket at the 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championship currently underway in Utica, New York.
USVI’s Dante Poli Shines
Dante Poli influenced the game for the USVI with five goals and four assists. Phillip Melecio and Matt Williams each added hat-tricks, while Ryan Cochran finished with two goals and four assists for the Virgin Islands, which saw Patrick Crosby pulling off 28 saves in the net.
