On December 11, 2024, Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew, along with Minister of Public Works et al., Hon. Konris Maynard, and contractor Mr. Alexis Hazel, visited the site of the ongoing St. Peter’s Main Road rehabilitation project. The team expressed satisfaction with the progress and confirmed that the project is on track to meet its completion goals.

During the site visit, Prime Minister Dr. Drew proudly noted, “We are on schedule”, adding that the contractor, Mr. Hazel, is pushing to get ahead of schedule. “which is good. Getting this done before Christmas.”
About the Project
The St. Peter’s Main Road project, which spans a 3.86-kilometer stretch from Ogees Ghaut to the Roundabout at Golden Rock, has been a long-awaited development for the St. Peter’s area, one of the fastest-growing communities in St. Kitts and Nevis.
The rehabilitation work includes significant upgrades to the road’s infrastructure, such as the construction of sidewalks, drainage improvements, and the development of a two-lane roundabout with four access points. Road safety features, including road studs (cat’s eyes), are also being implemented to improve visibility and safety for motorists and pedestrians alike.
