YDB opens up to the Post
“All good things start small.”
That’s what Bar-Sun Jones, aka Young Dirty Bastard, told the New York Post when we asked him about Wu-Tang Clan’s upcoming four-concert ‘The Saga Continues’ Las Vegas residency at Virgin Hotel’s Theater.
Set to take place Feb. 9-10 and March 22-23, this brief run of gigs will enshrine the Staten Island group as the first Hip-Hop act to stage an official Las Vegas residency.
By default, that technically makes YDB the youngest Hip-Hop artist to ever have a residency in the City of Sin. This exciting distinction doesn’t faze the composed 34-year-old performer, though.
“Being the youngest Hip-Hop artist with a Las Vegas residency, it’s more of an experience that’s waiting to come,” he shared.
“Some people are in the moment and can’t really grasp it. It really sinks in like ten years later.”
As for what to expect from the quick Vegas run, YDB was tight-lipped. Most details are confidential as of now.
However, he did confirm that the entire group will be on hand to perform at all shows.
“RZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, everybody,” he said. “All of us are still together and that’s a beautiful thing.”
According to the venue, the residency will be “more than a concert. It serves as a tribute to their prolific careers as individuals and as the most storied group in Hip-Hop history. A Wu-Tang experience like never before.”
And if you want to be there to see the Staten Island natives live, it isn’t too late to scoop up last-minute tickets.
At the time of publication, seats start at $55 before fees on Vivid Seats — which is a huge steal considering that that concert is taking place on Super Bowl weekend when prices typically balloon.

Upcoming Young Dirty Bastard projects
On top of the residency and festival appearances, YDB has a number of irons in the fire.
This spring, he’s scheduled to drop his untitled debut album.
“The record’s sound won’t be generic. It will be in different languages,” he teased. “Expect high quality guest spots from big name Showtime Lakers level artists.”
He also has a few TV and film projects in the works.
“My reality show is gonna be really eye popping,” he told us. “We had a bunch of laughs making the show.”
As for the film, he wasn’t able to release any details but said “it’s in the works.”
Finally, YDB will put out gaming lenses this year that cut down on eye fatigue.
