Alice Webb, 34, dies from Brazilian Bum Lift procedure in UK
A 34-year-old mother of five has become the first person to die from a Brazilian Bum Lift (BBL) procedure in the UK.
The incident is under investigation after police were called to Gloucesstershire Royal Hospital following a suspected cosmetic procedure gone wrong.
According to reports, Webb had undergone the procedure hours before she died on Monday.
Gloucestershire Police confirmed that it is investigating the death, and two people, including a surgeon, have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.
Webb’s colleague at Crystal Clear, Abigail Irwin, set up a GoFundMe page to support the victim’s family, raising £740 of a target of £3,000 by the end of last week.
Irwin’s page described Webb as “a beautiful person inside and out” and someone who was “always available to lend a helping hand or offer words of support”.
The Fundraising page also shared updates from Webb’s sister about the procedures she had gone through in Turkey, along with warnings about the dangerous procedures that are becoming increasing popular in the UK.
