Experience Black Rocks Viewing Decks, A Unique Tourism Attractions in St. Kitts
Black Rocks is an enigmatic destination known for its mix of wind-swept vegetation, rugged terrain, and charred volcanic ruins that create a dramatic landscape on a black sand beach. Enhancing the experience, suspended decks now allow visitors to explore the area up close, providing a unique observation platform to take in its raw beauty.
Recent Improvements
The Black Rocks Viewing Decks were formally commissioned July 15, and a ceremony was held at the site to mark the official launch. Minister of Tourism, Honourable Lindsay Grant, emphasized the value-add of the new attraction for tourists. The suspended platforms enable visitors to experience breathtaking views, wind-swept vegetation, rugged terrain, and charred volcanic ruins in a safe manner.
Attracting Local and Visiting Crowds
The decks quickly became a hotspot for curious individuals from across the Federations. Minister Grant enthusiastically reported on the high frequency of visits, mentioning Instagram selfies and family photos spreading through social media. Encouragingly, kids’ birthday parties and newly engaged couples have also frequent the area.
A Gem for Locals and Tourists Alike
“Hailing it as an inspiring tourism asset, Minister Lindsay Grant said, ‘our assets to be enjoyed, cared for, and utilized for visitors when they return.’ We are custodians of the tourism, recognizing our role in taking pride and care of those things to be shared later. He added that every step they take towards sustainability strengthens their tourism industry with time to come.”
